Q: How do I change the ward

A: You need to do this in the Inpatient event.  When you are looking at the theatre screen you are looking at a surgical event to cover the time the patient is in theatre.  You need to change the Inpatient event.  To do this single click on your patient to highlight them, now pick Patient Details from the context menu on the left hand side.  This will open your patientís home page.  Look in the bottom box which is the Event box and find the Admission event.  Double click on the Event to open it and change the ward there.
